The Kaltreider-Benfer Library, part of the York County Library System, is a regional library supported by York Township through a yearly donation. Located in Red Lion, it is dedicated to providing area residents with library and information services. The Library prides itself on maintaining a selection of classic and current materials for inquisitive minds of all ages. In particular, its children’s library and children’s programming are designed to foster and maintain a love of books and reading in children. It also has access to thousands of other reference sources through county and state interlibrary loan services, the internet, and online databases.

The Golden Connections Community Center is located in York Township near its eastern boundary, just off Cape Horn Road. The center is part of the York County Area Agency on Aging and is supported by York Township through a yearly donation. The Senior Center is a multi-service facility for adults ages 60 and older. The programs offered by the Senior Center are designed to overcome loneliness, enhance self-esteem, encourage personal growth, and facilitate independence through involvement. It serves a free daily lunch Monday-Friday for members and participates in the Meals on Wheels program. The Center also operates a gift and craft shop at its facility Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Police Services:

York Township is served by the York County Regional Police. York County Regional Police was formed in August of 2021 by the merger of the York Area Regional Police Department and the Northeastern Regional Police Department and began operations in January 2022. York County Regional Police serves York Township, as well as Dallastown Borough, East Manchester Township, Jacobus Borough, Manchester Township, Spring Garden Township, Spring Grove Borough, Windsor Township, Mt. Wolf Borough and , Yoe Borough.

Dallastown Area School District – Covering 52 sq. miles with an enrollment of over 5,800 students, Dallastown Area Schools are committed to providing a challenging academic environment to bring out the true potential of children.

York County School of Technology – “York Tech” offers over twenty different career and technical programs for high school age students integrating core academics with hands-on training and higher-level problem solving to provide graduates with the tools necessary for occupational success.
